［物語］命を救った最後の一葉

■概要理解例

（1）教師と一緒にゆっくりとオーバーラッピングします。
（2）生徒とやりとりしながら，物語の登場人物および相関図を図式化します。
（3）Q＆Aを通して，話の全体像を構成図にまとめます。
T：Where is Johnsy? Is she at school or on the bed?
S：She is on the bed in her room.
（該当するピクチャーカードを提示します。）
T：Is Johnsy fine?
S：No, she isn't. She is sick.
（教師がピクチャーカードの横にsickと記入します。）
などと続く。
（4）教師が構成図を示しながら，物語の流れをStorytellingで聞かせます。

■前時の復習例

　Q＆Aを使って，物語の場面，状況などの内容を復習します。
T：We've been reading story. What is the title of the story?
S：The Last Leaf.
T：That's right. Who wrote this story, do you remember?
S：O. Henry.
T：Yes, this story was written by O. Henry. Is this a happy story or a sad story?
S：This is a sad story.
T：Good. Who were the characters in this story?
S：Johnsy, Sue, Behrman and the doctor.
T：Right. What did Behrman draw on the brick wall?
S：He drew a leaf.
T：OK. What did O. Henry want to say to us through this story? What do you think?
