職業体験先へのお礼の手紙

　この単元では，職場体験先へのお礼の手紙から，Jin が経験したことや感じたことなどを読み取ります。

（1）まず，教科書の登場人物やPart 1〜3本文の内容を，教師と生徒のやり取りを通して確認します。
【会話例】
T： Look at this picture.
　（Part 1 本文のイラスト［登場人物4人］を提示する。）
T： Who is this girl?
S1： She is Hina.
T： Yes.
　　Do you remember what she loves?
S2： She likes cooking and eating.
T： Great.
　　She loves cooking and eating, so she wants to go to ...?
S3： A curry shop.
S4： She wants to go to a curry shop.
T： Nice.
　　She wants to go to a curry shop for an internship because she loves cooking and eating.
　（ShoとJinについて，ペアで同様に話をする。）

（2）そのあと，ペアで話したことを全体で共有する。
T： Who is this?
S5： He is Jin.
　　He wants to go to a game company.
　　He wants to be a game creator.
T： Good.
　　Jin wants to go to a game company because he wants to be a game creator.
　（because を用いて，再度内容を伝える。さまざまな表現を活用できることを示す。）

■本文の内容理解p.70〜71

　教師と生徒のやり取りを通して，Jin のお礼の手紙の内容を再度確認します。

【会話例】
T： Jin said “I was surprised”.
　　Why was he surprised?
S1： Because many people work.
T： Yes, producers, graphic designers, scenario writers, and programmers, work together.
　　Do you know the meaning of “together”?
S2： 一緒に。
T： Great!
　　They work together.
　　What did Jin enjoy?
S3： He enjoyed making a game scenario.
T： Good.
　　He enjoyed making a game scenario.
　　At first, he wants to be a ...?
S4： Programmer.
T： But after this internship ...?
S5： Scenario writer.
T： Nice.
　　He changed his dream.
　　To realize his dream, what will he do?
S6： Read lots of books.
S7： Play video games.
S8： Communication.
T： He will try these things in the future.

　Jinの手紙には，Unit 5の新出文法を使った文が登場します。語句とともに，文構造や意味，使い方を確認しましょう。

〔3-6〕
I was surprised that so many people, such as producers, graphic designers, scenario writers, and programmers, work together to create one game.
・〈be 動詞＋形容詞＋ that 節〉→ Target 15（p.68）
・I was surprised that 〜 ：〜に驚いた。
・producers ：プロデューサー，製作者。可算名詞 producer の複数形。
・graphic designers ：グラフィック・デザイナー。可算名詞 graphic designer の複数形。
・scenario ：シナリオ，脚本。可算名詞。
・writers ：作家。可算名詞 writer の複数形。
・programmers ：プログラマー。可算名詞 programmer の複数形。
・create ：〜を作り出す，創造する。他動詞。

〔18-19〕
I want to have better communication skills because teamwork is important, too.
・理由・原因を表す接続詞 because → Target 14
・better ：より良い，より上手な。形容詞。good, well の比較級。
・communication：〔情報，意思や気持ちなどを〕伝えること，意思の疎通，コミュニケーション。不可算名詞。
・skills：スキル，腕前。可算名詞 skillの複数形。

I want to show you my game if I can see you again.
・仮定や条件を表す接続詞 if → Target 13
