■Pre-reading 例Historical Events in Photos
本文を読む前に,下記のような活動を行います。
(1)教科書は閉じさせ,クイズを板書します。
(2)生徒にまずは個人で答えを推理させて,ノートに書かせます。
(3)次にペアで推理させ,1,2分後にいくつかのペアを当てて意見を言わせ,板書します。
T:You're gonna read Chen's explanation of "Historical Events in Photos." Old photos show us something very different from now. That's very interesting, isn't it? Now, I'm gonna give you some quizzes, so please guess the answers to them.
■言語活動例感想をたずねる(How was〜?)
月曜日に授業があるクラスは,下記のようにWarm-upとしてペアで週末はどうだったかを話し合わせます。
T:Good morning, class.
S:Good morning, Ms. ○○.
T:How are you doing today?
S:I'm fine [good / OK / tired / sleepy]. And you?
T:I'm good. Thanks. Now, make pairs and ask your partner how his or her weekend was, using "How was your weekend?" Ready? Start!
A:Hi, how's it going?
B:Good. And you?
A:Good. How was your weekend?
B:Not bad. I went camping with my family. It was lots of fun. How was your weekend?
A:It was OK. I didn't do much. But I went shopping with my mother, and bought my favorite snacks. They really taste good.
B:Cool.
