How many〜? / 値段をたずねる

■帯活動例名詞の複数形の復習

　さまざまな数の食べ物や動物，文房具などの絵（例：3つのリンゴや10匹の猫，5本のペン）を準備し，名詞の複数形を復習します。10〜20枚ほどあるとよいでしょう。

★進め方
（1）名詞の複数形のつくり方を復習します。教科書p.128を活用してもよいでしょう。
（2）教師は絵を見せ，生徒に「いくつの何か」を答えさせます。
（例：three apples, ten cats, five pens）
（3）ランダムに生徒を指名し，フラッシュカードのように絵を見せ，テンポよく言わせていきます。

■Oral Introduction 例1How many〜?

　だまし絵（木に隠れた人の顔）または数を確認できる絵などを使って，生徒とやりとりをします。

T：I have a strange picture. Look at this picture. This is a picture of a tree. What do you see in this picture?

S：Face!
T：Right. How many faces do you see? Talk with your partner.
（ペアトーク後）
T：How many faces do you see, S1?
S1：Seven.
T：Same answer, raise your hands. Oh, you have a different answer. How many faces do you see, S2?
S2：Eight!
T：Same answer, raise your hands. Wow! How many students? One, two, three, four, five... 26! Right! You see eight faces. （指で指しながら）One face, two faces, three faces, four faces... eight faces. Everyone, repeat after me. How many faces do you see?
S：How many faces do you see?
T：I see eight faces.
S：I see eight faces.
T：今日は，このように"How many〜?"を使って「いくつの〜？」とたずねる疑問文とその答え方を勉強します。

■Oral Introduction 例2値段をたずねる

　学校近隣のお店や地名などを挙げて買い物の場面を想起させ，値段をたずねる表現の導入につなげます。

T：Today, We are going to enjoy shopping. Do you enjoy shopping?
S：Yes!
T：Where do you enjoy shopping? What kind of stores do you enjoy shopping at?
S1：ショッピングモール。
S2：デパート。
T：Good. Now, let's listen to today's dialogue. Emily is enjoying shopping. Where is she? What does she want? Please listen.
