■ターゲット文法の導入例make＋人＋形容詞

　嬉しそうな子どもと疲れている子どものイラストを見せて，生徒と対話をしながら「make＋人＋形容詞」の形や用法を導入します。

T：Look at this picture. She looks happy. What happened to her? Please guess.
S：テストで良い点を取れた！　プレゼントをもらった！
T：Good guess, but a new dog came to her house yesterday. He’s very cute.
※The dog made her happy.
Look at this picture. He looks tired. What happened to him? Please guess.
S：部活の練習がきつかった！ 遅くまでテスト勉強していた！
T：Very close! He had a lot of things to do. So he went to bed late last night.
※A lot of things to do made him tired.
（※印の2文を板書します。）
T：What's the meaning of "make?"
S：つくる。
T：Yes, but in this case, make means 「する」. "make + person + adjective（形容詞）" means 「人を〜（の状態）にする」. O.K. Do you understand?
S：Yes.
T：O.K. Now, if I say you have a test next lesson, what do you think of this?
S：A test makes us sad.
T：Really? Try hard! Anyway, do you understand how to use "make + person + adjective?"
S：Yes.

■ターゲット文法の練習例want＋人＋to＋動詞の原形

　＜want＋人＋to＋動詞の原形＞はwant toとの区別がつきにくく，定着が難しいので，教科書p.53のPracticeを下記のように段階を踏んで練習します。
（1）toなしの文だけを見せて，適切な位置にtoを入れて読ませるドリルを行います。

（2）教科書のイラストを見ながら口頭で個人練習をします。
（3）教科書のイラストを見ながらペアで練習をします。
（4）ペアで会話を続けさせます。
A：My mother wants me to study harder.
B：My mother, too. She always wants me to study harder. Her words sometimes make me angry.
A：Oh yeah. I agree.

■帯活動例help＋人＋動詞の原形

　＜help＋人＋動詞の原形＞の復習として，ランダムに生徒を指名し，クイックリスポンスを行います。
T：O.K. Let's review target 12. Tell me about who helps you, and what they do?
S1：My grandmother helps me cook dinner.
S2：My mother helps me get up early.
S3：My friend helps me do my homework.
S4：My grandfather helps me go to school by car.
S5：My sister helps me clean my room.
などと続く。
T：O.K. I'll give you some questions. What does S1's grandmother help her do?
S：S1's grandmother helps her cook dinner.
T：Good. Does S2's mother help get up early?
S：Yes, she does.
T：Good. Who helps S3 do his homework?
S：His friend does.
T：Very good.
などと続く。
