as〜as...（同等比較） / サイズについての希望などを伝える

■ターゲット文法の導入例as〜as ...（同等比較）

　生徒と対話をしながら "as〜as ...” の形や用法を導入します。
T：Look at this picture. （2匹のネコの写真を見せます。）
　 This is my new cat Melon. （絵の中の1匹を指します。）
　 The other is Tom. Now I have two cats. Melon is younger than Tom. How about his size? Is he bigger or smaller than Tom?
S：I don't know. They look the same. 2匹とも同じくらいの大きさに見えます。
T：Right! My new cat Melon is as big as Tom. 「同じくらいの大きさ」と言うときは，as big as と言います。
T：O.K, repeat after me, everyone. Melon is as big as Tom.
S：Melon is as big as Tom.
T：Good. Then, 彼らは同じくらいかわいい. How do you say it?
S：Melon is as cute as Tom.
T：Very good. Do you understand how to use it?
S：Yes.

■言語活動例サイズについての希望などを伝える

（1）モデル対話を参考に，実際に買うところまでの対話をペアで練習します。

A：Hi, May I help you?
B：Yes. I'm looking for a coat.
A：How about this one?
B：Do you have one in a different color?
A：We have red.
B：Nice. Can I try it on?
A：Of course.
B：It's too big. Do you have a smaller one?
A：Sorry, we don't have smaller ones in that color.
B：O.K. I'll take a gray one.
