日本文化の紹介／物語の読み取り

■グループワークStep 2 （p.44〜45）

　4人ほどのグループに分け，Step 2の内容を活用して次の活動に取り組ませます。
（1）テーマを決める。
（2）書く内容を決める。
（3）項目ごとに担当を決める。
（4）動画等，英文以外の情報をどうするのかを決める。

【発話例】
T： Let's get started by dividing into groups of four.
　　Decide what you’d like to introduce, and then assign roles for each person, such as drawing pictures, creating a PowerPoint presentation, or writing English text.
　　You have the rest of this class period to work on your project, so take your time to choose a good theme.
　　When making your choice, please refer to Step 2 on page 44.
　　After you decide what to write about, use the mind map or the table on page 45 to organize your thoughts.
　　If you need help, raise your hand, please.

■発展的リーディング活動p.46-48

　本文には書かれていない物語の一部を読み，それが本文のどの部分に挿入できるかを考えます。

（1）はじめに，クラス全体で[A]に取り組みます。その際，[A]をモニター等に示すとよいでしょう。

[A]
When they finished applying the cream, there was a little cream left.
They looked like they were applying it to their faces, but actually, they ate it.
→解答：p.47 10行目のあと

■題材解説「注文の多い料理店」

　この物語は宮沢賢治が著した童話で，1924年（大正13年）に出版された『イーハトヴ童話　注文の多い料理店』に収録されています。表面的なユーモアと深層的な恐怖が混在した独特の世界観を特徴としていて，人間の欲望や愚かさが批判的に描かれています。

【あらすじ】
　二人の紳士が山の中で猟をしている途中で道に迷い，一軒の西洋料理店にたどり着きます。中に入ると，「履物の泥を落とすこと」「髪を整えること」など奇妙な注意書きが次々と出てきます。彼らは指示に従って進みますが，やがて自分たちが料理の材料としてねらわれていることに気づきます。そして，間一髪のところで猟犬に助けられて逃げ出すことができ，恐怖に震えながら山を下りて行きます。
